Art unleashes peace

Teachers and students of the Schools of Art and Crafts present their works as a living testimony to the universal value of peace

The event will take place at the Scuola Arti Ornamentali at Via San Giacomo 11, with free admission from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

The works on display stem from the individual paths of teachers and students, developed over the past months or even in earlier periods. In the ongoing debate on the relationship between art and social engagement, these pieces remind us that art is always in dialogue with its own time: it registers what happens, moves through it, transforms it. When the opportunity to take part in RAW for Peace arose, teachers and students felt it was natural to make their works available in this complex historical moment, recognising that the theme of peace already belongs to their research.

On display, among others, are works by the artists and art educators Laura Ida Basile, Emanuela Camacci, Rossella Canuti, Elisabetta Diamanti, and Osvaldo Tiberti.
