Exhibition of intaglio engravings: a graphic "transcription" of birdsong

"The INCANTI di Natalia Lombardo project was born from an intimate experience, close to a dream: while half asleep, the nocturnal song of an unknown bird manifests itself as a suspended calligraphic dance, an immaterial choreography, a line that crosses mental space. From this vision comes an immediate gesture, an instinctive transcription of the sound memory which, through drawing and engraving, is fixed as a sign". This is how the curator of the exhibition, Laura Fusco, an artist herself, describes the birth of Natalia Lombardo's chalcographic engravings. Works exhibited at the Fornace del Canova, where the great sculptor sewed his terracotta sketches, from 16 to 30 April 2026. The vision of the engravings, in the evocative space, is immersed in the original music composed by the young sound designer Francesco Grignani.
